As we reported on January 27, Micro-Trains has started off 2013 in excellent fashion with a Frisco release in their February announcements.

Micro-Trains promotional language states: This PS-2 100 ton covered hopper is painted gray with black Frisco herald and lettering. It was built in 1971, serviced in May 1976, and runs on Barber Roller Bearing trucks. This group of 200 hoppers came from Pullman-Standard in March 1971, adding to the already 800-strong group purchased and leased in 1967. All received gravity outlets of either Wine or Miner types, except for a small group of 23 that were equipped with gravity-pneumatic outlets. The 1971s came with Morton and Ellcon equipment.

The road number is 79492 and the item number is 096 00 110. The manufacturer’s suggested retail price is $25.55 and the car is to be available immediately.
